SCC Dragons to Tour Hong Kong; Play Interport Match with HKCC

The Shanghai Cricket Club will Tour Hong Kong September 12-14 to play the Hong Kong Cricket Club in the Bokhara Bell Memorial Interport Match.

The SCC and HKCC first played each other in 1866 as part of the Interport series of cricket matches between Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. The two clubs have met a total of 45 times; 38 times from 1866 to 1949, and seven times since 1994.

Representing Shanghai will be Waqar Khattaq (c), Paul Malpass (vc), Ben Lyons, Andrew Dartnell, Kevin Wright, Dayne Wotton, Sajid Anwar, Sanjay Anugula, Alex Cumming, Deepak Nautiyal, JJ Lim, Shoaib Meer, James Keel and Steve Field, SCC Tours Director John L’Epagniol and SCC Media Director Andy Scott.

Sides Announced for Upcoming Maroons vs Greens Match

Shanghai Cricket Club Captain Oliver Austin today announced the sides for Sunday’s Maroons vs Greens interclub match. The game is scheduled to start at 10:00 am, so please ensure you arrive at the ground at 09:30 am.

Second Maroons vs Greens Interclub Fixture This Coming Sunday

The second interclub Maroons vs Greens fixture of the season will be held this coming Sunday at SRFC Near. Teams will be announced later this week. Those interested in playing should submit their name to SCC Club Captain Oliver Austin. Sunday’s match will help determine squads for the upcoming SCC tours to Hong Kong to play Hong Kong Cricket Club.

The Shanghai Cricket Club will be touring Hong Kong to contest for the Bokhara Bell. This tour is the highlight of our season, and an opportunity to play against one of the best cricket clubs in the region. HKCC have won the last two encounters, and it will be great to send a strong squad to Hong Kong.
