2013 Cricket Season Set to Begin March 24

The 2013 Shanghai Cricket Club League season has arrived! The season kicks off on March 24 at the Shanghai Rugby Football Club and continues through to the finals in late October.

The league competition will feature 17 teams over three divisions; the addition of a new Shanghai Cricket Association-affiliated team in Division 2 will add a new wrinkle to the season. The past few seasons have seen an overall improvement in the quality of cricket in Shanghai, and this year promises to even more competitive.

In addition to the League fixtures, the SCC will be also playing several matches against other clubs, including hosting Hong Kong Cricket Club in the Bohkara Bell Memorial ODI, as well as tours to Hong Kong to face Lamma CC for the Breeezer Challenge, and Beijing to take on Beijing CC for the China Cup.

There will be plenty of opportunities to play cricket in 2013; please contact the club if you’re interested in getting involved.
