The Shanghai Cricket Club has put together a four-part program of high profile events for the cricketing community to kick off the 2011 season. It all begins Friday, April 1 with drinks at the Big Bamboo for all cricketers and the visiting Lamma Cricket Club of Hong Kong.
Breezer Challenge
Saturday, April 2, will see the SCC Dragons defend the Breezer Trophy against Lamma CC in a 50 over match at the SRFC.
ICC World Cup Final
Beginning at 5 pm on Saturday evening, the entire second floor of the Big Bamboo Nanyang Lu has been reserved for the live telecast of the ICC World Cup Final and the SCC League Awards.
SCC 2010 League Awards Night
Dinner will commence at 7:30. Tickets will be available at door: RMB220 per head (includes 6 beers each) or RMB150 if dinner only. Drinks will be available all night at discount prices. All SCC members and supporters are encouraged to attend.
Santa Fe Sixes
Sunday, April 3, will see the SCC season kickoff with the traditional Santa Fe Sixes. All Shanghai clubs will be in action, as the dust is shaken from the bats and pads of Shanghai’s finest. Lamma will be entering two teams into the tournament this year as well so the competition is expected to be strong.
