The SCC welcomes a new club to the fold this year as Hangzhou Cricket Club joins the league in Division 2.

Hangzhou Cricket Club  has been around for over five years. The teams made up of cricketers of all abilities and nationalities, meld together to form, on occasion, a formidable unit. The club thrives on a great humanity and friendly atmosphere. They play friendly and competitive internal club games, visit Shanghai for matches, and welcome other club teams to their home ground for weekly games. Leopards CC Changes Name to China Zalmi

Leopards Cricket Club (LCC) has announced that the LCC will play the coming season as China Zalmi.

Zeb Khan, LCC chief executive, confirmed that the club had received the recognition from Peshawar Zalmi (Pakistani professional franchise cricket team that plays in the Pakistan Super League). 150th Anniversary SCC-HKCC Interport Match

The Shanghai CC Dragons faced Hong Kong CC in the 150th anniversary Interport cricket match between the two clubs on Saturday, 10 December 2016, to play of the Bokhara Bell Memorial Trophy

The game offered the rare opportunity for the tourists to play on a turf wicket. Dragons captain Kevin Wright called number as opposed to Bauhinia and elected to bat, SCC openers Wooton and Kett took to the field for under a blue sky and much warmer temperature than a Decembers day in Shanghai. Dragons Side Set for KCC Interport Match

Club Captain Dayne Wotton announced yesterday the Dragons side that will take on Kowloon Cricket Club on Saturday, August 27 at Wellington College.

2016 Tour of Japan

SCC to Tour Japan for Series with Japan Men’s National Team

The Shanghai Cricket Club will travel to Japan on October 29 and 30 to play three Twenty20 matches against the Japan men’s national team.

The games will be a warmup for Japan, who will be competing in the East Asia Cup the following weekend. The matches between Japan and the SCC will be played at the Sano International Stadium, which has recently been developed into Japan’s first official cricket stadium. The East Asia Cup is also being held in Sano, and will feature Japan, Hong Kong, China and Korea.  Continue reading “2016 Tour of Japan”
